Jim Cramer was born as James J.Cramer on February 10, 1955, in Wyndmoor, Pennsylvania, the USA. He is the son of Louise A. Cramer and N. Ken Cramer. His father owned an international packaging products company, and his mother was an artist.

Moreover, he enrolled at Springfield Township High School in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. After high school, he attended Harvard University, where he earned a B.A degree in government. Later, he joined Harvard Law School and received a Juris Doctor degree in 1984.

Jim started his career in 1971, selling Coca-Cola and then ice cream at Veterans Stadium during a game in Philadelphia Phillies. When he was studying at Harvard College, he was interested in journalism and was the President and Editor in Chief of The Harvard Crimson. The couple finally tied their knot and exchanged their wedding vows on April 18, 2015, in Brooklyn, New York. Although the couple hasn't given birth to a baby from their marriage. The couple shares children with their former partners. Jim has two children whereas Lisa shares three children.

In the year 2000, James and his online website Thestreet.com settled a lawsuit with The Fox News Channel. During that time, Fox News claimed that James had reneged on a deal to produce a show for them.
